joimt should be demobilised to create as little trauma and therefore
inflamation as possible.
Studies has since found that people who used mobilisation techniques and kept exercising had joints that deteriorated slower, improvement was even found in a lot of cases.
Pilates is a perfect way of strengthening joints and increasing movement for people with arthritis because not only is it highly effective at the task at hand, it is also extremely low impact so it can be done every day.
